BIO

Solo Smith is a bassist, singer-songwriter and producer. Soon after graduating from Berklee College of Music, the Memphis native kicked off contributing to writing camps with emerging artists Destin Conrad, Maeta, Ambré, and Jean Deaux to name a few.

Upon moving to Los Angeles, Solo began touring with BlackBear opening for Maroon 5, played for Duckwrth on the Billie Eilish tour, and most recently toured with Post Malone on his “If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying” World Tour. His expressive approach to performance coupled with a refreshingly cool demeanor has helped with establishing himself firmly within the industry.

Building on his southern roots, Solo Smith is inspired by feeling. He’s created a multi-layered sound that fuses Pop, R&B, Alternative, Indie Rock and Jazz, with a dreamy soulful undertone. Solo Smith credits his distinctive sound to the diverse range of artists and musicians he grew up listening to. Solo Smith has performed, toured and recorded with the following artists. Post Malone, Blackbear, Doja Cat, Lucky Daye, Reneé Rapp, Maria the Scientist, Duckwrth, Alex Isley, Coco Jones, Maeta, Kiefer, August 08, Phabo, Kenyon Dixon, Laya, Isaiah Huron, Amaria, Marzz, Asiahn, and María Isabel. His influences, along with his own musical education and experience have molded his signature sound.

Solo Smith uses Gallien-Krueger’s Legacy 800 amplifier and NEO IV 410 bass cabinet.
